How do I add folders to search?

Click the Settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner, then click "Add" to select folders you want to index. OmniFile will automatically scan and index the selected folders.

How do I connect cloud services?

In Settings, scroll down to the Cloud Services section. Click "Connect" next to the service you want to add (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.). You'll be redirected to authorize OmniFile to access your files. Note: Cloud integrations require a Pro license.

Why can't I find some files?

Make sure the folder containing those files has been added to your scan paths in Settings. Also, OmniFile may take a few moments to index new files. Try clicking "Scan Now" to manually trigger a rescan.

How do I activate my Pro license?

After purchasing, you'll receive a license key via email. Open OmniFile, go to Settings, and click "Activate License". Enter your license key to unlock Pro features.

Is my data secure?

Yes. OmniFile is designed with privacy in mind. Your search index is stored locally on your device, and file contents never leave your computer. For cloud services, we only access file metadata for searching - we don't download or store your cloud files.

What's the keyboard shortcut?

Press Cmd + Shift + Space (Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + Space (Windows) to quickly open OmniFile from anywhere.
